ABOUT DR. MARLENE HOLLICK
Dr. Marlene Hollick has decades of hands-on experience and expertise across a wide range of health and nutrition disciplines, including home care, hospitals, nursing homes, public schools, and higher education. She has worked in clinical, supervisory, and executive positions throughout her career, including roles as a Clinical Dietitian, College Professor, Vice President for Academic Development, and the Dean of Health Disciplines.
Dr. Hollick earned her Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Health Care Education from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Public Health from New York University, and a Master of Arts in Food and Nutrition, also from NYU. She is a Registered Dietitian, and a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist, in addition to various other certifications and training.
She is currently enrolled in the Post-Graduate Science Writing program at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Hollick was the co-Editor of the Clinical Nutrition Management Newsletter for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (previously known as the American Dietetic Association) and has contributed content to a wide range of academic and consumer outlets. She is an accomplished writer, researcher, and reviewer with a knack for translating sometimes complex health content into a form that is easily digestible for the average audience. Her latest article, “Five reasons why a person with dementia may refuse to eat,” is featured by noted Integrative Physician Dr. Ronald Hoffman on his website and across his social media assets.
